Who won the Champions League in 2020?

Venue

The Portuguese capital also hosted the 2005 UEFA Cup final at the Estadio Jose Alvalade Stadium, one of Benfica's closest rivals and Sporting's finalists, which lost 3-1 to CSKA Moscow. 

Paris saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain is certified to participate in the Champions League organizing stage using the prevailing 2018-19 Ligue 1 season, their sixth title in seven seasons, and 8th overall French title. On an organizational level, they were drawn into Group A along with Spanish side Real Madrid, winners of the European Cup, in addition to Turkish side Galatasaray and Belgian club Brugge. 

In the final match at the institution level, Paris faced Real Madrid at the Parc des Princes and won three-0 thanks to a first-half goal from former Madrid member Angel Di Maria and a second-half goal from Thomas Meunier. Paris Saint-Germain continued their best start to the competition, defeating Club Brugge 5-0 at the Stade Jan Breidel., with a brace from Icardi and a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe. In their home meeting against Bruges, Icardi scored PSG's only goal in a 1-0 win to advance to the knockout stages.  In the fifth round, Paris recovered from a two-year deficit to draw 2-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu against Madrid and win Group A, with the late wishes of Mbappe and Pablo Sarabia making up for Karim Benzema's brace. In their most recent match, Paris Saint-Germain lost 5-0 at home to Galatasaray to finish the tournament undefeated and conceding only goals.

In the sixteenth round, PSG drew with the German club Borussia Dortmund. In the first leg at the Westfalenstadion, Paris lost 2-1, and Neymar scored a goal in between Erling Haland's shots. Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich qualified for the Champions League group stage without delay by winning the 2018-19 Bundesliga, their seventh consecutive and twenty-ninth regular German title. At the group level, they were drawn into Group B along with England's Tottenham Hotspur, the runners-up of the previous Champions League season, in addition to Greece's Olympiakos and Serbia's Red Star Belgrade. The team started its season under the guidance of Croatian supervisor Niko Kovac.

In their first match, Bayern faced Red Star Belgrade in a home match at the Allianz Arena and won 3-0 thanks to the wishes of Kingsley Coman, Robert Lewandowski, and Thomas Muller. In the second leg against Tottenham at Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern won 7-2 thanks to a goal from Joshua Kimmich, a shot from Lewandowski, and four goals from Serge Gnabry. The result was the heaviest home loss by an England member in a European competition. On the third day of the match, Bayern faced Olympiakos at the Karaiskakis Stadium and recovered from a deficit to win 3-2 and maintain the group lead with a break from Lewandowski, watched by Corentin Tolisso's curled intent, even as Youssef Elaraby and Guilherme scored for the Greek side.

However, as Bayern lost 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on 2 November, manager Niko Kovac was sacked tomorrow and replaced with the help of former assistant Hans-Dieter Flick on an interim basis. In the first leg of the Flick three days later, Bayern got a 2-0 rematch against Olympiakos thanks to goals from Lewandowski and Ivan Perisic in the second half, thereby securing a playoff berth.  On 26 November, Bayern Munich went 6-0 up against Red Star Belgrade at the Red Star Stadium to win Group B, with Lewandowski scoring four goals among those of Leon Gorecki and Tolisso. In their final dream match, Coman, Muller, and Philippe Coutinho gave Bayern a 3-1 home win over Tottenham Hotspur to complete an excellent group-grade record, while Ryan Sessegnon scored the most effective goal for the visitors to the site.
