Anatonie Griezmann Biography Antoine Griezmann (French pronunciation: [ɑtwan ɡʁijɛzman]; born 21 March 1991) is a French professional footballer who plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona and the France national football team. Born and raised in Macon, Griezmann started his career at Real Sociedad in 2009, with whom he won the Segunda Liga title in his first season. In 2014, he joined Atletico Madrid for a then-record 30 million euros, where he broke the club's record for the most goals scored in his debut season and became a player of the 2014-15 La Liga team. He was named the best player of La Liga in 2016 and completed the 1/3 finals of the 2016 FIFA World Cup and the best player of the 2016 FIFA Men's Championship. He finished 0.33 and 6th respectively for awards in 2018, as he helped Atletico Madrid win the UEFA Europa League, scoring two goals in the latter of them.
