 Qatar became the first-ever World Cup host to lose their opening match, going down 2-0 to Uruguay in a disappointing start to the tournament. It was a game they will feel they should have won, but Uruguay took their chances well and Qatar will now need to regroup ahead of their second match against Saudi Arabia. They will be hoping for a better performance in that one, but it will be a tough task against a Saudi side that will be full of confidence after their opening win.
