Gianni Infantino FIFA 2022 President

Pronunciation: Giovanni Vincenzo Infantino (Italian pronunciation); March 23, 1970) is a Swiss-Italian football administrator and progressive president of FIFA. He became the elected president of FIFA at the extraordinary FIFA Congress in February 2016. He was re-elected President of FIFA in June 2019. In January 2020, he was elected a member of the International Olympic Committee.

Gianni Infantino Born

Infantino was born on March 23, 1970, in Brig, Switzerland. He was the son of a mother and father of Italian immigrants in Calabria and Lombardy. He studied settlement at the University of Fribourg. he is fluent in Italian, Spanish, French, and German, as well as English, Portuguese and Arabic.

FIFA President Scandal

Infantino started working with UEFA in August 2000, and in January 2004 was appointed Director of the Legal Affairs and Licensing Department of UEFA clubs. During his tenure, UEFA increased financial fair play and expanded commercial assistance to small associations across the country. 

He led the expansion of 24 Euro 2016 groups and played a role in the concept of the UEFA Nations League and UEFA Euro 2020, which took place at that time in thirteen (now 11) European countries.

Gianni Infantino, as the general secretary of UEFA, led negotiations with the Greek authorities and defended the warning of the Greek Football Federation that he faces suspension from world football for interference by the authorities.

FIFA Journey

Infantino became a member of the FIFA Reform committee. On October 26, 2015, he received the support of the UEFA Executive committee to run for president of the FIFA Extraordinary Congress in 2016. On the same day, he demonstrated his candidacy and submitted the desired applications for help. he promised to expand the FIFA World Cup to 40 teams.

On February 26, 2016, he was elected President of FIFA for three years. Infantino, who has dual Swiss and Italian citizenship through his parents, became the first Italian to retain the post of FIFA president.

In 2017, Infantino criticized a tour of the United States to several Muslim - majority countries.  He said: "when it comes to FIFA competitions, any group that includes fans and officials of this team competing for the World Cup wants to enter the United States, otherwise there will be no World Cup."

Rights of Women's

After the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, women were armed with stadiums when groups of people played. Infantino has repeatedly warned the Iranian Football Federation and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran about the rights of Iranian women. On September 8, 2019, Shakar Khodayari set himself on fire after being arrested for attempting to invade the stadium. Our role is obvious and important.  Women should be allowed to participate in Iran's football stadiums. Now is the time to start trading. 

FIFA Problems Management

In July 2016, Infantino was suspected of violating FIFA ethics rules, and he was questioned by the investigative chamber of the FIFA Ethics committee.

"Several flights operated through Mr. Infantino in the first months of his presidency, human resources topics related to approaches to hiring the president in the workplace, and Mr. Infantino's refusal to sign an agreement showing that he works for FIFA."

Even despite the leaked report that showed illegal spending of funds through FIFA, the problem with expenses and management has turned into something that is not being investigated now. The report revealed that Infantino was billed for FIFA's private fees, which include eight pounds, £795 for a mattress in his home, £6,829 for a walking exercise system, £1,086 for a tuxedo, £677 for a factory, and £132 for personal laundry. In addition, he submitted the bill to the governing body of FIFA in the absence of an external driving force for his family and advisers.

When Infantino applied a special measure at the 2018 and 2022 World Championships in Russia and Qatar, he wondered about the possibility of fighting for a hobby. The owners have prepared personal planes for Infantino and his employees associated with trips to Russia and the Persian Gulf Kingdom. the investigative chamber concluded that no violations had occurred. In addition, the Chamber ruled that "the subjects of human resources, as well as Infantino's behavior regarding his agreement with Mr. FIFA, if any, in any aspect, represented internal compliance issues, and not ethical considerations."
