Los Angeles Rams Defensive Tackle Aaron Donald

Aaron Charles Donald (born May 23, 1991) is an American football quarterback who plays for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Pittsburgh, where he dressed as a consensus All-American and was drafted by the Rams with the thirteenth pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. In his seven years in the league, he was selected to seven pro bowls, was named the NFL Rookie of the Year, and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times, winning it in 2017 and 2018 and again in 2020. Donald is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time.

Early life

A native of Pittsburgh, Donald grew up, by far, one of 3 children in his own family working in the Lincoln–Leamington–Belmar neighborhood of the metropolitan area. His father Archie introduced Aaron to exercise to give extra shape to his son's lifestyle. Aaron himself later admitted that he was "lazy as a child." By the age of 14, he and his father woke up at 4: 30 in the morning and spent almost several hours working out in the fitness center in the basement, which Archie had set up in the family home.

Donald attended Penn Hills High School, where he played college football for head coach Ron Graham. He qualified for the AAAA State first team in each of his last two seasons and collected 63 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks as a senior. He also started with the offensive shield.

The prospect of 3 big names through competitors is considered. Thus, it became the thirty-seventh high-quality defensive tackle in the state. He devoted himself to his native Pittsburgh, receiving various scholarships from Toledo, Akron, and Rutgers.

College career

As a true freshman, Donald played in all 13 games as a backup quarterback. He recorded 11 tackles, such as three for loss, and sacks. In 2011, as a sophomore, Donald moved to the starting lineup and became a member of the Breakout campaign. He recorded 47 tackles, including sixteen for loss, eleven sacks, and one forced fumble, and developed into a named 2nd Crew All-Big East choice. As a junior, he recorded sixty-four tackles, including 18. Five for loss, five 5-pound sacks, and one forced fumble, first crew All-Big East honors. In his senior season, he became one of the most effective quarterbacks in the entire NCAA. He posted 59 tackles, consisting of a first-class 28.5 for loss, 11 sacks, and four forced fumbles. He was named Defensive Player of the Year and turned into a consensus All-American.

2018 season

On August 31, 2018, after spending the entire offseason, Donald signed a six-to 12-month extension worth $ 135 million with $ 87 million guaranteed. This deal made him the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history, despite the fact that Khalil Mack signed a $ 141 million contract with the Chicago Bears the day after he was traded from the Oakland Raiders. 

During a Week 7 39-10 road win over the San Francisco 49ers, Donald finished with 4 sacks on quarterback CJ. Donald was later named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October after recording eight sacks, 17 tackles, and a forced fumble. In Week 16, Donald recorded seven tackles (four for loss) and three sacks in a 31-game win over the Arizona Cardinals, earning him his fifth NFC Defensive Player of the Week award. His 3 sacks added his season total to 19.5, who broke the record for most sacks in a season by a defensive tackle, previously held by Keith Millard with 18.0. Donald added four tackles and another sack in Week 17 to the 49ers and finished the season with 59 tackles, four fumble recoveries, an error recovery, a pass deflection, and the 20th major in the league. Five sacks in sixteen games and starts. He was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Year in December, his 2nd such award of the season.

On January 4, 2019, Donald was named to the AP All-Pro first team, becoming the only unanimous selection. On February 2, 2019, he won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award for the second consecutive season. Donald joined Lawrence Taylor and J. R. R. Tolkien. Watt is the only player to win the award in consecutive seasons. Donald helped the Rams reach Super Bowl LIII after defeating the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round and the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship. In the Super Bowl, he recorded five tackles, but the Rams lost with a thirteen–3 rating to the New England Patriots., with the Patriots ' offensive linemen (consisting of Joe Tooney) double-teaming Donald in order to neutralize his effectiveness, which was named the key component in the result. Donald was voted the best player in the NFL by using his friends in the list of the 100 Best NFL Players of 2019.

season 2019

During Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, Donald recorded his first sack of the season at Baker Mayfield in a 20-run win. However, six days after the sport, he was fined $ 21,056 for roughing up a passer-by at Mayfield. Three weeks later, in a game against the San Francisco 49ers, Donald sacked Jimmy Garoppolo twice in a 20-7 loss. In the next game against the Atlanta Falcons, he recorded a striptease on Matt Ryan and recovered the football as part of a 37-10 street win. During Week eleven against the Chicago Bears in Sunday night football, Donald recorded two sacks, 4 tackles, and a pass defense in a 17-7 victory, which is the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award.  During the sixteenth week in the confrontation with the 49th, He sacked Garoppolo 1.5 times during a 34-31 Street loss. Donald was selected to the 2020 Pro Bowl after finishing the 2019 season with 48 tackles, 12.5 sacks, two pass deflections, forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in sixteen games and starts.

season 2020

In the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, Donald recorded his first sack of the season on Dak Prescott throughout the 20-17 win. Two weeks later, toward the Buffalo Bills, he recorded two sacks on Josh Allen, one in each of which turned into a striptease sack, which he later recovered throughout the 35-32 Street loss.  During the fifth week, toward the Washington football team, Donald recorded 4 sacks during the 30-10 Street win.  He was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his play. Three weeks later, in a game against the Miami Dolphins, Donald recorded a striptease on rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Tagovailoa's first career pass at some point in a 28-17 loss to Avenue. In Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers, Donald recorded a sack on Nick Mullens and forced a fumble by running back Raheem Mostert, who recovered and returned, using teammate Troy Hill for a touchdown at one point in the 23-20 loss.

Donald was selected for the 2021 Pro Bowl after finishing the 2020 season with forty-five tackles, thirteen. Five sacks, 4 forced fumbles, a fumble cure, and a pass deflection in sixteen video games and starts. In the Wild Card round of the playoffs against the Seattle Seahawks, he sacked Russell Wilson twice at some point in a 30-20 street win. On February 6, 2021, Donald was named the 2020 NFL Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in four years.
